- Selective color. Jon removes color from certain parts of the picture to make it a unique and different.
- Custom cropping. Sometimes the world just doesn't fit into a rectangle. Sometimes a square is better. Or a circle. Or some weird fractal that we haven't even thought of yet.
- Custom photo editing. Jon lives and breathes Photoshop. Need take something out of a photo? Clean it up a little, remove some clutter? Jon can help.
- Large prints. Many clients love the 16" x 20" (and bigger!) prints that Jon hangs in the MoonRay studio. If you would like a larger, archive-quality print, your MoonRay print credit will help you get one that looks just as good on your walls, as Jon's prints do on his.

Beyond the prints MoonRay delivers you as part of your photo package, you may also purchase Printing Rights. Printing Rights mean you may make your own prints and copies. If you choose to purchase printing rights, all of the images are delivered to you on CDs, in 3 versions Black-and-White, Color and Sepia. Images are touched up as needed (e.g., dust removal) to help you reproduce the best-quality prints. However, images are not color balanced and have not received extensive retouching. I leave that to you so you can print your photos, your way.
For much the same reason that an 11x17 print costs more than a 4x6, or why 100 prints cost more than 10. Without printing rights, you can order prints and print packages from MoonRay Imaging, but legally you aren't supposed to print your own. This lets me continue to make a living as a photographer. With printing rights, you receive the right to make as many prints as you want for personal use (not commercial use). Printing Rights are not something every customer wants, and of course we can discuss whether or not you would like printing rights. Due to customer interest, most wedding packages are priced to include printing rights.
When you get printing rights you are able to make copies of your prints. A print credit means that Jon can help you make custom prints and there's a lot that can be done at MoonRay that can't be done at WalMart. Here are some things you can do with a print credit at MoonRay:

Not to turn this into a legal primer, but in a nutshell copyright is what says, "I created this image and have the exclusive right to produce, sell and distribute it". It is what keeps me in business so that I am able to serve my customers, and helps me work with you to determine the best way to get you the images and prints you want.
That depends on the job. Factors that affect which format used include available lighting, weather, size of resulting prints, and things like that. Each medium has its strengths, and each is a good fit for different jobs. We'll discuss the best options as we talk about what you need.
Short answer: Up to 12 megapixels, depending on the setting.
If you're a fellow photo geek: The camera is a Fuji S2. The lenses are all Nikon glass, with a range of 20mm-300mm.
It depends on the occasion, but a good rule of thumb is that the more that is going on, the more photos taken. A ballpark figure is 800-1000 images per 6 hours of shooting time. That gives us a large base of photos from which to work. We'll use this intial pool to pick out the images you prefer, that best relay what you want photographically from your event or project.
you can expect your prints to arrive within 2-4 weeks.

A proofbook is less "finished and polished" than album. The proofbook contains small images that we'll go through when you select the photos you want for finished prints and for the final album. Your 12" x 18" proofbook is bound and printed on photo paper with a custom, in-house-designed cover.
The main reasons are quality of materials and craftsmanship. All MoonRay Imaging Albums are leatherbound to last forever, and printed on archive-quality print paper, so that you can pass these memories on to future generations. Instead of giving you a standard album template to fill in, we custom-design each album page individually here at the MoonRay Imaging studio. Our options are limited only by creativity. Lastly, MoonRay albums are BIG! And why not that way they're way more more fun to have and to share with family and friends.
Instead of relying on pre-made album templates, we custom design each page in-house. This gives us unlimited options for page layouts, and we can plan and discuss ideas together for your custom album. We can make an album that, like your photos, is as different and as individual as you are. Want your wedding vows or other text next to your pictures? No problem. Stack pictures on top of each other? Sure. Do funky things with colors on the album pages? With pleasure. Jon takes the time to sit down with you in front of the computer and design something unique and representative of you.
Small in size, but still having a timeless quality to it, a mini album is easy to take anywhere with you, such as to a family reunion or corporate gathering. The mini album consists of 4" x 6" or 5" x 5" prints mounted and bound together with a wraparound cover (12" x 4" or 10" x 5"). These make great parent albums for weddings, newborn babies, or senior portraits. They slip right into a purse, backpack or luggage, so they can go anywhere you want to take your photos! A mini album is also great if a bigger album just isn't your thing.
Dependability, trustworthiness and just a little quirkiness are a few reasons. Working with you to get the photos you want, is another. Here are other reasons why Jon should be your photographer »
